We are proud to have a wide variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities available to our students through clubs, House activities and events, performances, and inter-school competitions. We aim to provide opportunities for high participation, enjoyment, and development of specialised knowledge and skills, as well as pathways into more elite competitive environments.
Some examples of the co-curricular and extra-curricular opportunities for our students include:
Sport
- Students across all year levels have the opportunity to participate and compete in inter-school sporting competitions, at local, regional, and state levels.
- Some of the sports that our students participate in - using our fantastic on-site facilities as well as at other school sites - AFL, basketball, cricket, netball, soccer, volleyball, swimming, equestrian, cycling, athletics, and cross country.
Agriculture
- We are so fortunate to have a working farm onsite where our students can get hands-on experience working with animals, as well as learn about horticulture and viticulture.
Music
- Music is an integral component of our College's curriculum and extra-curricular activities. As one of the most enriching activities that are young person can engage in, students have the opportunity to learn a musical instrument, join one of the many bands and ensembles, or take lessons through our private instrumental program. Our various bands and ensembles perform at different locations and special events both within the school and in our local community.
Visual & Performing Arts
- Our Art Studio is based within the historic Rupertswood Mansion. The beautiful space is filled with natural light and historic arched windows; the perfect space to inspire creativity.
- Every two years our students produce a College Production that is performed for our community. There are opportunities for students to be involved across the areas of acting, music, dance, stage management, AV, costumes/prop design, and backstage organisation. It's one of the most highly anticipated events on the College Calendar and a great experience for students and staff working together.
Languages and International Programs
- We offer Japanese and Italian as part of our LOTE curriculum and through their studies, students are encouraged to become global citizens and strengthen their intercultural understanding. As students reach their senior years, there are opportunities for trips to both Japan and Italy, as well as cultural exchange opportunities.
- We are proud to be part of a program called the 'Five Schools Exchange', along with Shirley Boys High School and Marian College from New Zealand, Toho High School from Japan, and Nanjing High School from China. This program sees a group of students from each of the five schools travel to the host school (which alternates each year) where they all take part in different cultural activities and presentations.
